Transportation

For Shimla local sightseeing hire a cab on daily basis or in a package. There are options for half day and full day hires as well as hiring for a standard package. If you are looking for a cheaper option, look for the local sightseeing tours operated by HP tourism in non AC deluxe buses.

Shimla to Kullu is 230 KM. Best way to cover this distance is via a hired car hire as you can stop on the way as per you wish to take pictures or refreshments and also the time taken by a privately hired car to cover this long distance will be much less compared to the buses. Apart from car, the other option is to go via the non AC deluxe buses run by HP tourism.

At Kullu, hire a car from the local Taxi Operators Union office located at Dhalpur to cover the location in and around Kullu. They have a few standard tour offerings offered at a fixed price.

For sightseeing in and around Manali, hire a car from the local Taxi Operators Union office located right on the Mall. They normally offers a standard rate.
