Transportation
Chennai to Pondicherry can be travelled either via bus or a car. It takes around 3.5 hrs to cover the distance. From Pondicherry, you can take a train or bus to reach Madurai in 6-7 hrs. Alternately, reach Madurai directly by car via NH38. Hiring a car from Madurai to Rameshwaram and then drop you at Kanyakumari will be most comfortable and time efficient for this tour. Later, for going to Kovalam from Kanyakumari you can hire a local cab. For Kanyakumari to Kovalam its best to hire acar which will drop you directly at Kovalam.
